Wonderful Moment- The 16th session of the 50th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council
Nordic International Press Center (UN News)On June 22, 2022, representatives of Shaanxi Province Patriotism Volunteers Association at the 16th session of the 50th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, "Panel discussion on good governance on the promotion and protection of human rights during and after the COVID-19 pandemic" , made human rights remarks on the different behaviors of ruling parties in various countries to their citizens in the face of the pandemic. He condemned the U.S. government, in the face of the epidemic, not actively taking advantage of developed countries to prevent and treat the disease for the majority of citizens, but deliberately "shrugging off the blame" in the face of the epidemic, treating them differently, not to mention that the elderly and chronically ill patients are susceptible to infection and have a high mortality rate. The risk has led to the death of 1 million people in the United States due to the new crown epidemic, and 200,000 children have become "new crown orphans". Praise China's ruling party, actively play a core role, uphold the ruling concept of "serving the people", adhere to "dynamic clearing", demonstrate the human rights attitude of "people first, life first", and practice "protecting people's lives, health and safety, whatever it takes" commitment. He reminded the Human Rights Council that it should pay attention to the "discriminatory treatment" and the threat of "sickness and death" being suffered by vulnerable groups in American society, especially the elderly and those with chronic diseases.
He called on the Human Rights Council to continue to pay attention to the discrimination, mass infection and death of vulnerable groups in response to the new crown epidemic. Pay attention to the U.S.'s "blaming the blame", politicizing and instrumentalizing the epidemic, and taking effective measures to stop the U.S. from using false information to incite and create hatred against specific countries, racial discrimination, and other acts that harm human rights.
